Florida Department of Education has given district school boards the right to review eligibility concerns.

Approve the recommendation to submit to the Florida Department of Education, December 1, 2016, the names of instructional personnel who have met all qualifying requirements for the Best and Brightest Scholarship.  Human Resources recommends following the definition of F.S. 1012.01(2)(a) Classroom Teacher.    Instructional Personnel defined in 1012.01(2)(b-d) will not be considered eligible unless they have the minimum of one course in their schedule, in FOCUS, which meets the definition of classroom teacher.
