C-33 Appoint County-Wide Registered Surveying and Mapping Services
Issue/Rationale
Yearly Survey and Mapping needs have exceeded the District’s bid limits. The selection was conducted in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055. The project was advertised for three consecutive weeks with The Clay County Leader, Inc. Selection Committee members were Jim Connell – Director of Facility Planning and Construction, Tom Smith – Director of Maintenance, and Carol Vallencourt – School Board Member.
As a result of interviews and after due consideration, the Selection Committee recommends the following firms as listed in priority order:
1. Perret and Associates, Inc. –
2. Bowyer-Singleton & Associates, Inc. –
3. Richard Miller & Associates, Inc. –
Recommended Action
Appoint the top ranked firm, Perret and Associates, Inc. for County-Wide Registered Surveying and Mapping Services at a fee rate of $150.00 per hour for field work and $75.00 per hour for office work.
Financial Impact
Financial impact cannot be determined at this time. Surveying needs are generated by land acquisition, design, or operational requirements. The funding is derived from the project that generates the survey requirements.
