December 15, 2011 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #32 Item Title Ratify the 2011-2012 Amendment to the 2010-2014 Master Contract between the Clay Educational Staff Professional Association and the School District of Clay County Issue/Rationale Florida Statutes requires the School Board to bargain collectively in the determination of wages, hours and terms and conditions of employment for employees.  This Agreement must be signed and ratified by both the public employer and the public employees of the bargaining unit. Recommended Action Ratify the Tentative Agreement. Financial Impact Salaries remain status quo in accordance with the current salary schedule.  That is, no step increase or reduction in salaries for 2011-2012.  Attendance incentive cost to be offset by current 2011-2012 budgeted substitute funds.  Rate of reimbursement for staff meetings and inservice increased from $8.40 to $9.00 per hour effective upon date of ratification and is not retroactive.  Therefore, financial impact is minimal.  If ratified, the new rate will be effective December 16, 2011.
