C-22 Orange Park High School Renovate/Remodel West Campus Architect Contract Award
Issue/Rationale
The selection was conducted in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055. The project was advertised for three consecutive weeks with The Clay Today. Selection Committee members were Jim Connell, Director of Facility Planning and Construction, John Merrill, Director of Maintenance, and Frank Farrell, School Board Member.
As a result of interviews and after due consideration, the Selection Committee recommends the following firms as listed in priority order:
1. McCullar & Boatright Architects, P.A. – Orange Park, FL
2. Bhide and Hall Architects, P.A. – Orange Park, FL
3. Harvard Jolly – Jacksonville, FL
Recommended Action
Appoint the top ranked firm, McCullar & Boatright Architects, P.A., at a fee of 6% of the construction cost for Orange Park High School Renovate/Remodel West Campus Architectural Services.
Financial Impact
All funding necessary for the Architectural fees resulting from this contract are budgeted within the Educational Facilities Plan.
