Item Title
C-11 Travel exception request for out of state travel to the LRP conference.
Issue/Rationale
The legal issues of educating Individuals with Disabilities are complex and new interpretations of what is required in documentation and services continue to arise from the increasing complexity of regulation, legislation and litigation.
Consequently, it is important that district personnel remain current on the latest interpretations of state and federal laws governing services for handicapped students. The LRP National Institute brings together leading experts on Special Education to provide guidance on implementing IDEA.
Recommended Action
Approve travel exception request as submitted.
Financial Impact
Approximately $2,000.00 funded through the IDEA grant.
