Issue Rationale for bids to be awarded as required per FS 287, DOE 6A-1.01 and School Board Policy

a.  Ramp Systems and Stair Systems Bid #11-F-207 – Bid established for the purchase, delivery and installation of ramp systems and stair systems throughout the School District at a firm fixed price.  Contract Period:  December 18, 2009 through December 17, 2012.  Twelve (12) bids solicited plus listed on our web site for down load, four (4) bids received.  The vendor awarded is the lowest most qualified responsive bidder meeting specifications.

b.  Covered Walkways County-Wide Bid #11-F-209-2 – Bid established for the purchase, delivery and installation of covered walkways throughout the School District at a firm fixed price.  Contract Period:  December 18, 2009 through December 18, 2012.  Thirty-nine (39) bids solicited plus listed on our web site for down load, five (5) bids received and one (1) with incomplete pricing.  The vendor awarded is the lowest most qualified responsive bidder meeting specifications.

b.  Covered Walkways County-Wide Bid #11-F-209-2:  Estimated $300,000.00 for 3 years
