Appointment, Redesignation and Approval of Out-of-Field Teachers
Issue/Rationale
Florida Statutes require that a teacher who is teaching out-of-field be appointed as out-of-field by the School Board. It is also required by auditors that the out-of-field teachers be approved prior to completion of the FTE survey week. The survey week is February 8-12, 2010.
Recommended Action
Approve the out-of-field appointments and redesignations.
Financial Impact
Board action allows for earning FTE appropriately and avoiding audit criticism and reduction in FTE.
