Item Title
Appoint Architect for Elementary School "X"

Issue/Rationale

According to School Board Policy, State Requirements for Educational Facilities and Florida Statutes, an architect is required to be appointed for this project.

This contract will be for the reuse of prototype plans developed for the Clay County School District. This action complies with Florida Statue 285.055(10).

Recommended Action
Appoint McCullar & Boatright Architects in association with Paul Stresing Associates as architect for Elementary School “X” at a fee of 4.5% of the construction cost.

Financial Impact
Based on the District’s estimated construction cost, the architect fees are estimated to be $1,035,000.00. This amount is currently available and budgeted in the Part III Capital Outlay Funding.
