February 15, 2007 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #46 Item Title Option and Direction on Junior High "PP" Issue/Rationale If Junior High "PP" is to be maintained in the Plan, the attendance areas to this school must be accepted.  An alternative is to increase the Level Of Service Standard to 110%, thus negating the need for this Junior High within the five-year planning period.  You could also increase the Level Of Service Standard to 110% and leave the decision on this school to a later date and see how the enrollments come in.  An absolute decision is required by August of 2008. Recommended Action Recommend an increase in the Junior High Level Of Service Standard to 110%. Financial Impact Allows more development into the Junior High Schools.  May allow the projected funding reserved for this school to be shifted to other priority areas.  If this school is postponed, construction costs will increase.
