February 17, 2011 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #50 Item Title Ratify the 2010-2011 Amendment to the 2009-2012 Master Contract between the Clay County Education Association and the School District of Clay County Issue/Rationale Florida Statute requires the School Board to bargain collectively in the determination of wages, hours, and terms and conditions of employment for instructional personnel.  This Agreement must be signed and ratified by both the public employer and the public employees of the bargaining unit. Recommended Action Ratify the Tentative Agreement with CCEA for a step increase for those eligible members of the bargaining unit retroactive to the beginning of the 2010-2011 school year.  The new insurance rates will be effective on the date of ratification.
