Issue/Rationale
This project is listed in the 2010-2011 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.
The bid opening was held Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. The project had three (3) bidders and all bidders met the bid requirements.
Recommended Action
Award the construction contract to Weather Engineers, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $480,123.00 and Alternate #1 in the amount of $74,106.00 for a total bid award of $554,229.00.
Financial Impact
The low bidder meeting specifications, Weather Engineers, Inc., had a total bid award of $554,229.00. The funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
