Issue Rationale for renewals as required per FS 287, DOE 6A-1.01 and School Board Policy

a. Electrical Construction, Repair and Connection for Existing and/or New Construction and Relocatable Classrooms Bid #07-F-192.  Contract Period is February 20, 2009 through March 19, 2009.  This is the final renewal.  A new Bid is being solicited and the award recommendation will be on the March agenda.   

b. Fence County Wide Bid #08-F-201.  Contract Period is March 20, 2009 through March 18, 2010.  This is the first renewal. 

c. Pesticide and Fertilizer County Wide Bid #08-MA-288.  Relinquish Section 2 - Fertilizer from renewal.  The continued escalating cost of fertilizer has forced vendor to request to be released from existing contract pricing for Section 2 - Fertilizer.  This is a reasonable request due to the continuing rise in mixed fertilizer prices that could not have been anticipated by industry or vendor when submitting their bid in February, 2008.  Contract Period is February 20, 2009 through February 21, 2010 for Section 1 – Pesticide only.  This is the first renewal. 

d. Cost Per Print for Laser Printers Bid #08-SCH-81.  Contract Period is March 20, 2009 through March 18, 2010.  This is the second renewal.

Extend renewals as follows:

a. Electrical Construction, Repair and Connection for Existing and/or New Construction and Relocatable Classrooms Bid #07-F-192 - To:

·         Parks Electric, First low bidder

·         Globe Electric, Second low bidder

·         T & M Electric, Third low bidder

b. Fence County Wide Bid #08-F-201 - To:

·         All American Fence Company (Part 1 and Part 2), First low bidder

·         Aabot Fence Inc. (Part 1 and Part 2 (Industrial only)), Second low bidder

·         Remove Fenscape Fence Company - The previous Third low bidder awarded March 20, 2008 has not signed renewal letter.

c. Pesticide and Fertilizer County Wide Bid #08-MA-288 - To:

·         Residex of Jacksonville, LLC. (Section 1 - Pesticide only) and Release pricing for Section 2 - Fertilizer

d. Cost Per Print for Laser Printers Bid #08-SCH-81 - To:

·         Sun Print Management, LLC

a. Electrical Construction, Repair and Connection for Existing and/or New Construction and Relocatable Classrooms Bid #07-F-192:  Estimated $190,000.00

b. Fence County Wide Bid #08-F-201:  Estimated $75,000.00

c. Pesticide and Fertilizer County Wide Bid #08-MA-288:  Estimated $20,000.00

d. Cost Per Print for Laser Printers Bid #08-SCH-81:  Estimated $17,000.00
