ISSUE:  The request is for disposition of  two school busses (B327 & B332).  Each bus has a value of $37,433.85 and an acquisition date of July 28,1994, total value of both busses is $74,867.70.  The busses have been surveyed by the Coordinator of Property Control, at the request of the Cost Center Property Manager, and the recommended disposition is to make them available as surplus and removed from the active inventory.  These busses have exceeded their normal life cycle expectancy.

RATIONALE:  Tangible Personal Property shall be controlled and supervised from acquisition through transfer or disposal.  Disposal of property shall be in accordance with Section 274.05, Florida Statutes.  All deletions of items with a value of $500.00 or more will be approved by The Clay County School Board prior to disposition - School Board Policy Section 5.03C.

Provides additional storage space and eliminates the need to account for unusable property.  Reduces the dollar value of Tangible Personal Property.
