Out of state travel is needed for William Fletcher, Vice Principal, Orange Park High School to attend Safe Crisis Management (SCM) Instructor Recertification training.  As a member of the district SCM training team, annual instructor recertification is mandatory.  The next available training is February 10-11 in Carlisle, PA.

Safe Crisis Management is the district's approved de-escalation and safe emergency intervention strategies for responding to dangerous behavior.  All new users, including all behavioral health aides and teachers of specific self-contained classes, receive initial training in these methods.  All users receive annual update training.  The district training team must be recertified annually by the training agency, JKM Training, Inc.

This training is not available elsewhere and is a requirement under Exceptional Student Education policies.
