The contract terms, with the exception of the background check language, which are set forth on the proposed contract addendum are required contract terms when federal funds are used to pay any portion of the contract.  The addition of the contract addendum to all existing and future contracts will satisfy an audit issue which came up this year and will insure that any past and future contracts will be amendable without bringing the original contract back to the Board to cure any defect due to inadvertent failure to include the required terms in the contract document.  In such an instance, a contract approved by the Board could be amended by the Director of Purchasing, and with the consent of the other party, to include the addendum.
