Out of state travel is requested for Joan New, Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Specialist, to attend the National Alliance for Medicaid in Schools Conference in Niagara Falls, New York from September 16-19, 2014.

The conference features guidance from Children’s Medical Services (CMS) related to Medicaid in schools.  In Clay County, funds from Medicaid reimbursement provide significant resources for ESE students and teachers.  The national conference is an important source of information for school reimbursement programs. 

Approve out of state travel for Joan New to attend the National Alliance for Medicaid in Schools Conference, which is being held in Niagara Falls, New York, September 16-19, 2014, as submitted.

Approximately $1,600.00 to be paid from Medicaid funds.
