May 17, 2012 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #19 Item Title C-18 Virtual Instruction Providers Issue/Rationale Clay Virtual Academy, following state statutes, contracts with Virtual Instruction Providers (VIP).  Contracts with FLVS, FLVS-FT, K12, and other virtual instruction providers must be negotiated for pricing and general terms.  The Director of Purchasing and School Board Attorney submit minor wording changes to such vendors for finalization.  The Director of Purchasing needs authorization to contract for purchase when language has been finalized. Recommended Action Authorize Director of Purchasing to purchase once contract parameters are finalized Financial Impact $50* per student per semester for FLVS content $3995* per student for K12 full-time students $3995-$4750* per student for FLVS-FT students *Additional fees may apply for certain courses identified in contract Submitted By Alisa B.
