D-7 Synovia Solutions for GPS-Enabled Payroll and Fleet Management Software Contract
Issue/Rationale
The Transportation Department is requesting approval to lease GPS-enabled Payroll and Fleet Management Software services from Synovia Solutions LLC (Synovia) for 240 school buses. This proposal does not require a payment during the 2016/2017 school year. This system and will increase safety, student rider verification and accountability, and enhance parent awareness of bus arrival time. District departments have the option lease additional GPS units for district owned “White Fleet” vehicles at the unit prices contained in the RFP.
Recommended Action
Approve piggybacking off of St. Lucie’s RFP #15-08 for a 60 month lease agreement for 240 school buses, with the option for district departments to also lease additional GPS units for district-owned “White Fleet” vehicles at the unit prices contained in the RFP.
