Item Title
C-25 Continue contracting for mental health service for E/BD students with Clay Behavioral Health Center for school year 2009-2010.
Issue/Rationale
This contract continues counseling services required for severe E/BD students. Services are provided by employees of Clay County Behavioral Health Center, Inc. on school campuses where severe students are located.
Mental health counseling services are required by federal law to be offered to students now referred to as the more severe Emotionally and Behaviorally Disordered (E/BD).
Recommended Action
Approve continuation of contract as submitted.
Financial Impact
This is the most efficient way to cover all the E/BD sites in the district. Clay Behavioral Health Center is allowed to use their Medicaid billing to reduce the cost of the contract.
