Issue/Rationale

The National Education Association's 86th annual American Education Week has been proclaimed for November 11-17, 2007. This provides an opportunity to celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring every child receives a quality education. This year's theme is, "Great Public Schools: A Basic Right and Our Responsibility."

Recommended Action
Proclaim November 11-17, 2007 as American Education Week in Clay County.
