Issue/Rationale

For bid / RFP to be awarded as required per FS 287, DOE 6A-1.01 and School Board Policy

a. Construction Materials – Sheds Bid #12-CTE-04, Contract Period is September 16, 2011 through November 18, 2011 – Bid established for the purchase and delivery of materials for the construction of six sheds by Career and Technical Education Programs and lumber for Maintenance Department. Five (5) bids solicited plus listed on our web site for down load and three (3) bids were received. The vendor awarded is the lowest most qualified responsive bidder meeting specifications.

b. Closed Circuit T Surveillance Systems Bid #11-F-120 – Awarded vendor request release from the bid awarded in March of 2011 as per attached letter. Recommend award to the next lowest most qualified responsive bidder meeting specification.

Recommended Action

Award bid as follows:

a. Construction Materials – Sheds Bid #12-CTE-04 - Recommend award to:

· Lowe’s, 1700 Blanding Blvd, Middleburg, FL 32068

b. Closed Circuit TV Surveillance Systems Bid #11-F-210 - To:

· Release: W.W. Gay Fire & Integrated Systems, 522 Stockton Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204

· Award to: Miller Electric, 2251 Rosselle Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204

a. Construction Materials – Sheds Bid #12-CTE-04: Estimated $31,270.68

b. Closed Circuit TV Surveillance Systems Bid #11-F-210: Estimated $260,287.00
