Description Per statutory requirements notice is hereby given The School Board of Clay County intends to formally adopt proposed revisions to the 2025-2026 Student and Family Handbook with Code of Student Conduct following a public hearing to be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, during the course of the Board's regular meeting. The Student and Family Handbook with the Code of Student Conduct is a policy adopted by the district that defines and describes the expected behavior of students while in the learning environment and is a guide for administrators on addressing conduct infractions through intervention and consequences. | ||
Gap Analysis The Student and Family Handbook with The Code of Student Conduct is updated annually to address new statutory requirements and strengthen existing language based on a review of discipline data profiles. Expected Outcomes By publicly advertising this revised version of The Student and Family Handbook and the Code of Student Conduct per statutory regulation, the District will maintain compliance with the Florida Department of Education and allow for public input on the practices and procedures related to student rights and responsibilities as well as how the District handles student misbehavior while in the learning environment. | ||
