Description

Florida Statutes 1012.22 and 1012.27 require the district school board and superintendent to adopt a salary schedule to be used as a basis for paying school district employees.

 

Agreements with both CCEA and CESPA have been ratified by all parties.   The attached document represents those agreements along with the Administrative/Management/Supervisory/Confidential Section, Miscellaneous, and Travel to complete the Salary Schedule for 2018-2019.  The document is routinely updated as changes occur.

 

Included is an administrative salary adjustment equivalent to $2,310 for school based administrators with a highly effective evaluation and $1,724 for school based administrators in accordance with F.S. 1012.34.  District administrators will receive a salary adjustment of $2,310, as the district VAM was highly effective.   Cafeteria Managers would receive a salary adjustment of $1,054.  The last year that compensation of a full step was given was 2009.

Gap Analysis

Annual approval of Salary Schedules are required pursuant to section F.S. 1011.60(4).

Previous Outcomes

Collective Bargaining agreement with CESPA was ratified on August 17, 2018.  The CCEA agreement was ratified on August 8, 2018.

Expected Outcomes

Approval of the 2018-2019 Salary Schedule as presented.

Financial Impact
Section I: Change in Table X which reflects a step increase to confidential employees’ salaries mirrored by CESPA step-pay increase. Update of current titles. Financial increase of administrative salaries is $428,000, which includes salaries and benefits. Section II: See Certificated (CCEA) – Financial increase of $2,800,000.00. Section III: See Support (CESPA) – Financial increase of approximately $1,200,000.00. Section IV: Miscellaneous Salaries: Minimum Wage increase .05 cents an hour on January 1, 2018. Section V: Update of current titles. No change was recorded to administrative travel pay.
