 39. Recognition of County Academic TeamsMinutes: Mike Wingate, Director of Secondary Education, recognized the Academic Teams representing Oakleaf High School, Middleburg High School and Orange Junior High.  See attached list for names of students.
 40. Recognize James Hilt - Channel 12 Student of the WeekMinutes: James Hilt is a Middleburg High School senior enrolled in the Information Technology Academy.  He hopes to become a computer engineer and work in the medical field.

The HEAL Foundation - iPad InitiativeMinutes: Mrs. Kornegay introduced Leslie Weed, co-founder, and Alan Pickert, president of the HEAL (Healing Every Autistic Life) Foundation.    The HEAL Foundation presented a check to the school district in the amount of $11,580 for the purchase of 20 iPads for use in Autistic classrooms.
