School Board of Clay County
April 4, 2019 - Regular School Board Meeting
Title
C28 - Convert previous Temporary Grant of Easement to Permanent Grant of Easement at Middleburg High School: For FDOT water and force main utility relocation project.
Description

CCUA engineering discovered; the FDOT (force main) utility relocation has been partially installed within the previously granted temporary construction easement.  CCUA is requesting the School Board grant permanent easement (Attachment 1) to the previously granted temporary easement (Attachment 2) to allow access to the underground utility.  There will be no current or future impact school district construction or development.   The proposed grant covers the previously granted temporary easement from June 7, 2018; set to expire April 20, 2019.

Gap Analysis

Approval for conversion of Temporary Grant of Easement to a Permanent Grant of Easement will allow CCUA and FDOT permanent access to force main water lines beneath the surface.

Previous Outcomes

Per staff recommendations, the Board has approved CCUA’s previous Permanent Grants of Easement requests at various locations throughout the school district.

Expected Outcomes

Consent approval is expected for CCUA’s request to convert the previous Temporary Grant of Easement for the attached permanent Grant of Easement at Middleburg High School.

Strategic Plan Goal

Ensure effective management of the organization, operations, and facilities to maximize the use of resources and promote a safe, efficient and effective learning environment for Clay County students.

Recommendation

Approve CCUA’s request to convert the previously granted Temporary Grant of Easement for a Permanent Grant of Easement.
