On Jan 11, 2022, the Clay County School Board and the Clay County Board of County Commissioners entered into an Interlocal Agreement with the terms for the Sandridge Road improvements including turn lanes, expansion, and a shared use retention pond.  Paragraph 4(a) states, “The School Board shall provide the County at no cost temporary construction easements to accommodate the County’s enlargement of Pond 4A-2, fill of the Existing North-South Pond, expansion of Lake Asbury Junior High School parking area, construction of the right turn lane, retention of the sidewalk and any needed enhancements, and harmonization of the Lake Asbury Junior High School and Lake Asbury Elementary School driveways.

Construction is set to commence immediately following the end of the 2022-23 school year.  Failure to convey the temporary construction easements could possibly result in the delay of construction. 

The Clay County School Board has granted construction easements to several local governmental agencies in the past.

The Board will approve the temporary construction easements to Clay County, FL for the Lake Asbury Junior High School and Lake Asbury Elementary School Sandridge Road improvements.
