  • Five Star School Award - Doctors Inlet Elementary - Florida Department of Education's recognition of Doctors Inlet Elementary School for exemplary community involvement
  • Military Family Appreciation Month Art and Essay Contest Recognition - recognition of seven students for their entries

CONSENT AGENDA:

  • C1 - Minutes of Workshop on November 19, 2019; Student Hearings and Regular Meeting on December 12, 2019 - no discussion;
  • C2 - 2019-2020 Salary Schedule - Section IV, Miscellaneous (Substitutes - Minimum Wage Increase) - linked to minimum wage increase;
  • C3 - Personnel Consent Agenda - includes resignation of an Information & Technology employee transitioning to an alternate opportunity;
  • C4 - K12 Academic Services Out of State and Overnight Student Travel - no discussion;
  • C5 - 2020 Exceptional Student Education Extended School Year (ESY) Calendar - based on the needs of Exceptional Student Education students' individualized education plans;
  • C6 - Permission to Publish an Advertisement for the 2019-20 Career and Technical Education (CTE) and World Language Adoptions - 5 years since last world language adoption; 3-5 years since CTE curriculum adoption; opportunity to close gaps and provide relevant content; 
  • C7 - Tuition fees for 3 Year Olds in Montessori program at Swimming Pen Creek Elementary - 12 seats available for 3 year old students; can build systemic bench and continuity within program; charge of $10.00 per day per student; no state funding for 3 year olds; plans to address space so program expansion can be evaluated; no plan to move Exceptional Student Education programs from Swimming Pen Creek Elementary;
  • C8 - Proposed Allocation Changes for 2019-2020 - discussion of the possibility of expanding the types of job positions for which we post generic openings with periodic revisit in order to target the positions for which we have difficulty engaging individuals; identifying these positions and screening individuals ahead of time would allow a pool of qualified applicants to more effectively meet our employment needs;
