D8 - Clay County Utility Authority (CCUA) Resolution and Real Property Purchase and Sale Agreement for Tynes Elementary School
Description

Per Real Property Purchase and Sale Agreement and land description set forth in the attachment and Exhibit “A”.  CCUA is seeking to purchase approximately one acre of Clay County listed parcel: 30-04-25-008069-001-01, Tynes Elementary School, for $30,000.00 and no other considerations.  This portion of the parcel is currently not in use nor is there planned future use to Tynes Elementary School.  CCUA is proposing construction of a reclaimed water holding facility consisting of three water tanks used for collection and distribution of reclaimed water.

The Board has approved previous sale consideration of portions of school property not in use: (10/16/14; MCE).

Expected Outcomes

Schematic and Preliminary Plan review allows for participation from a variety of departments to ensure any program changes are incorporated into the design.

Strategic Plan Goal

Based on previous decisions, expectation is:  The Board will adopt the resolution allowing staff to move forward with the real-property conveyance to CCUA.

Recommendation

Approve the resolution to grant authority to dispose of a portion of Tynes Elementary School real-property through real estate conveyance to CCUA, for the sum of $30,000.00.
