Relocatable building type 92, room 605, located at Charles E. Bennett Elementary School, identified as CI 2342 and the equipment, ramps, and stairs associated with the portable has been deemed surplus by resolution and no longer usable for educational or ancillary purposes, has no commercial value, and should be disposed of by the most economic means.  The Penney Retirement Community has agreed to purchase the portable classroom for $10.00 (Ten dollars and no/100) each, including the associated equipment and ramps and stairs.

No action would result in an unnecessary financial burden on the district to dispose of the portables.

The School Board has approved the sale of surplus equipment in the past.

It is expected the School Board will approve the purchase agreement to sell the portable and its associated equipment including ramps and stairs.

Ensure fiscal responsibility through the effective management of district operations in an effort to maximize available resources necessary to provide an environment that is safe, efficient, and conducive to learning.
