Title
D6 - St Johns Classical Academy Charter School Application to Replicate
Description

St Johns Classical Academy submitted an application to Clay County District Schools on March 8, 2022, to open a replication school in the fall of 2023 in the Lake Asbury area.  The district has 90 days (June 8, 2022) to approve or deny the application.

St Johns Classical Academy was deemed high-performing in the fall of 2021.  Under Florida Statute 1002.331(3)(a)1, a high-performing charter school may submit an application to replicate its educational program.

A Review Team representing all Clay County District Schools' departments reviewed the application, interviewed the applicant, and requested amendments to the application.  The applicant provided an amended application that will serve as a replacement to the original version as an addendum to the agreed-upon contract/charter should the School Board of Clay County vote to approve.  The amendments to the application satisfied the concerns of the Review Team (both applications are attached).
