Description

This project is listed in the Educational Facilities Plan (EFP). The award of a construction project in excess of $500,000.00 requires School Board approval.

The selection was conducted in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055. The project was advertised for three (3) consecutive weeks with The Clay Today. The bid opening was held May 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. The project had four (4) bidders and met the bid requirements.

Recommendation

Award the construction contract to Thomas May Construction Company, the low bidder meeting specifications in the base bid in the amount of $2,379,322.00 and Alternate #1 in the amount of $59,400.00 for a total bid award of $2,438,722.00.
