Title C17 - 20-21 First Coast Behavioral Solutions Contract | ||
Description First Coast Behavioral Solutions provides both mental health and behavioral analysis services to students as identified as eligible by SEDNET Region 4. SEDNET is a discretionary project through the state of Florida to provide support for students who are labeled Emotional/Behavior disabled or at risk. SEDNET Region 4 receives two federal grants, a state grant and contracted funding through Lutheran Services of Florida. The Lutheran Services of Florida contract provides SEDNET Region 4 funding to pay for mental health/behavioral/substance abuse intervention services as determined by multi-disciplinary teams. | ||
Gap Analysis SEDNET has contracted with First Coast Behavioral Solutions for the last nine years to provide services to keep children in their least restrictive environment in their community. | ||
Previous Outcomes This vendor has provided the families skills and techniques to keep their children at home and their least restrictive school placement. They also provide transition services for students who are being discharged from statewide in-patient psychiatric placements. | ||
Expected Outcomes This provider provides support for the family and schools with the goal of keeping children from entering the foster care system and maintaining in their least restrictive school placement. | ||

Recommendation That the board app[roves the First Coast Behavioral Solutions contract. | ||
