Title C25 - Transportation Bus Purchase Agreement | ||
Description This Agreement between the School Board of Clay County and Sun State International Trucks, LLC is to purchase nine (9) ESE 47 Capacity Type C new school buses and twelve (12) 77 Regular Type C new school buses equipped with AC and camera equipment per FLDOE Contract ITB 2023-02. | ||
Gap Analysis The transportation department has a five-year plan for bus purchases in the Capital Improvement Plan to replace buses reaching their service limits and to account for student growth. At this time, CCDS has 240 buses operating and in service. Furthermore, as the ESE student population continues to rise so does the need for ESE transportation/buses. | ||
Previous Outcomes The Transportation Department has a replacement plan for buses via the Capital Improvement Plan for the District to operate safely and efficiently. | ||
Expected Outcomes The purchase of 21 School Buses will provide CCDS:

Financial Impact The funds are available and budgeted in the Capital Bus Replacement Plan for $3,480,441.00. (Breakdown of cost - 47 Capacity Type C Complete School Bus- $159,177.00 x 9 = $1,432,593.00. 77 Capacity Type C Complete School Bus- $170,654.00 x 12 = $2,047,848.00) | ||
