C28 - Resolution for the Purchase of 0.91 Acres of Land Located Adjacent to the Transportation Yard in Green Cove Springs, Florida
Description

The current Green Cove transportation yard is facing significant spatial constraints that compromise operational efficiency. In an effort to resolve these issues, the district is requesting approval to acquire the adjacent 0.91-acre parcel (Parcel ID: 38-06-26-017175-000-00). This acquisition would enable a strategic expansion and reconfiguration of the current property, optimizing traffic flow while streamlining bus staging and staff parking.  Additionally, the acquisition would accommodate future fleet expansion as the southeast Green Cove Springs area continues to develop.

It is expected the School Board will approve the resolution to proceed with the necessary steps to purchase the land.

Financial Impact
The purchase price is $215,000.00. Pending Board approval, funds will be budgeted in the 2026-2027 Educational Facilities Work Plan.
