Title
C8 - Master Plan for Inservice
Description

Clay County School District has revised and updated the master inservice plan (MIP) that identifies the components of professional learning that may generate master inservice plan points toward recertification or add-on certification. The components in the MIP are deliverables of the professional learning/development system and a major support in addressing the goals of the district, the strategic plan and individual deliberate practice.

Gap Analysis

The previous Clay County School District Master Inservice Plan has not been revised in six years; therefore it was time to examine the plan and make the necessary revisions to reflect current practices, procedures and state law.

Previous Outcomes

The Master Inservice Plan for Clay County needed to be updated and revised.

Expected Outcomes

The procedures in place previously were paper; that has been updated to take advantage of the district's electronic systems.  This should save the school inservice coordinators time as they no longer will have to submit massive amounts of paper to document their work in the role of managing the inservice process. Please see the attached document for the specific revised language included in the MIP.

Strategic Plan Goal

GOAL 5: Develop and support great educators, support and leaders

The Master Inservice Plan is a support for developing great educators and leaders through continuous learning.

Recommendation

That the School Board of Clay County School District approve the 2017-18 Master Inservice Plan.
