DESCRIPTION:

The Kagan company provides professional development nationally to school districts in strategies for cooperative learning, student problem solving and creating collaborative strategies.

GAP ANALYSIS:

The purpose of this agenda item is to obtain the Board’s approval for the source of professional consulting services with the Kagan Professional Development Company for Clay Charter Academy. This expenditure meets the statutory requirements of the Title IIA Teacher and Principal Training and Recruiting Grant.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES:

Approval of this agenda item will satisfy statutory requirements of Title IIA for charter schools.
