The Clay County School District is excited to enter into this renewed Memorandum of Understanding with Orange Park Medical Center. Orange Park Medical Center is a strong supporter of public education and of Clay County Schools. This agreement, which includes a $30,000 contribution from Orange Park Medical Center, will help fund a number of district wide student programs ranging from STEM and robotics to athletics, art and music. Orange Park Medical Center will also continue to offer field trip activities for a growing number of elementary schools. Finally, as a part of this agreement, Orange Park Medical Center will now offer public-interest health-based content to be disseminated to interest groups identified throughout the district.

Although Orange Park Medical Center has been a longtime supporter of the Clay County School District, last year was the first year Orange Park Medical Center and the Clay County School Board entered into a formalized Memorandum of Understanding. Funding was used to pay for a variety of programs, many of which have been renewed in this new agreement.

This Memorandum of Understanding designates specific programs to receive funds including All-County Elementary Chorus Concert, Elementary Track Meet, Math Field Day, the Rotary Science and Engineering Fair, the Clay County Art Show, STEM and Robotics Programs, and both Teacher of the Year and Support Related Employee of the Year recognitions. This year's Memorandum of Understanding expands the programs which are covered by available funding. Additionally, Orange Park Medical Center has expanded the number of schools who will participate in field trip activities at the hospital.

This agreement furthers the school district's strategic plan goal of engaging our community and continuing to build and strengthen partnerships with community members.
