Mary Bolla nominated Carol Studdard.

Tina Bullock nominated Janice Kerekes.

With no further nominations, the floor was closed for Chair and a verbal vote was taken on the first nomination.

Voting Aye for Carol Studdard:  Mrs. Bolla, Mrs. Gilhousen, Mrs. Studdard

Carol Studdard was elected by a majority 3-0 vote.

Carol Studdard nominated Janice Kerekes.

With no further nominations, the floor was closed for Vice Chair and a verbal vote was taken.  Jance Kerekes  was elected by a 5-0 vote.

With the Organization of the Board complete, newly elected Chair Carol Studdard presided over the remainder of the meeting.

Janice Kerekes made a motion, which was seconded by Tina Bullock, to approve the Superintendent's recommendation:

That the Board establish meeting dates and times for Regular School Board meetings for the period December 2018 through November 2019, as the first Thursday of each month with the exception of the January meeting due to the Christmas holidays, such meeting to be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, and the July meeting due to the July 4th holiday, and that meeting to be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019.  All meetings will be held at 6:00 p.m. at Fleming Island High School in the Teacher Inservice Center.

Discussion followed in which Mrs. Gilhousen stated that she would begin a 5-year educational program in the fall that will meet on Thursdays.  She asked for consideration to change the day of the meeting to a Monday or Tuesday.  Consensus was to continue with the first Thursday for now and reconsider at a later date.  

Motion carried 5-0.

Motion by Mrs. Kerekes, seconded by Mrs Bolla to approve.
