Minutes:

The Operations team, consisting of Dr. Michael Kemp, Jim Connell, and Jim Fossa, presented the two proposed boundary line options for Discovery Oaks Elementary School:

Option 1 (Recommended)

  • DOE projected attendance: 802
  • POE projected attendance: 826

Option 2

  • DOE projected attendance: 823
  • POE projected attendance: 805

Superintendent Davis spoke about the Community Engagement Plan.  A public informational meeting will be held, possibly the first week of December, to share the proposed changes in the Oakleaf area.  Details about the meeting will be announced shortly after the Thanksgiving holiday.  Mr. D'Agata reminded the Board to be cautious of Sunshine requirements. if two or more attend the informational meeting. 

The proposed boundaries will be advertised and, hopefully, finalized by January 2018.
