Title
C32 - Purchase of Centegix CrisisAlert Wearable Panic Button System - State of Florida of Education Contract ITN #21-953
Description

The District is seeking approval to purchase and implement the Centegix CrisisAlert system, a school safety platform designed to provide rapid communication during emergencies. The CrisisAlert system equips staff with wearable, discreet badges that can be activated to immediately notify administration and first responders of crises. Badges can be utilized to summon immediate assistance of on-campus help as well as initiate a lockdown on campus. Activation triggers district-wide safety protocols, including automated alerts, real-time location information, and strobe/light indicators on campus. This tool enhances the District’s layered approach to school safety by empowering staff to quickly and effectively summon assistance, improving response times and ensuring student and staff security.

Gap Analysis

The Centegix system will provide a wearable panic button badge to every school-based employee in the district. Employees will have the ability to either summon assistance to their precise location and/or put the school in a lockdown at the touch of a button. Information regarding the lockdown alert will be submitted simultaneously to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office through SaferWatch.
