Clay County District Schools establish student and teacher reporting hours on an annual basis. For the 2019-20 school year, Charles E Bennett Elementary is designated a “Lowest 300” school by the FLDOE. All “Lowest 300” schools require 180 hours of additional instruction. Due to Hurricane Dorian, Charles E Bennett will need to add an additional twelve (12) instructional minutes to the daily student reporting hours in order to meet the 1080 hours of instruction. This will adjust the student reporting time from 8:20 am - 2:50 pm to 8:10 am to 2:52 pm. Teacher reporting times will not be affected.  

If the student reporting hours are not revised then Charles E Bennett Elementary will not be able to meet the required 1080 hours of instruction.

Clay County District Schools establishes daily school hours on an annual basis to accommodate the adjustments made for weekly common planning time. 

Charles E Bennett Elementary School will meet the 1080 instructional hours required by all "Lowest 300" schools.
