Amend SECIV of the F.Y. 2006-07 Educational Facilities Plan
Issue/Rationale
The plan is amended to include Lightning Protection to the Fire Alarm Replacement County-Wide under the Maintenance (Technical) heading.
The estimate for the fire alarm replacement at RHS was $300,000.00 from the engineer. I had only put $200,000.00 in SECIV when developing the plan. After we saw the estimate we decided to install lightning protection to protect the fire alarm since this school is susceptible to lightning strikes during inclimate weather. By adding the lightning protection this will reduce, or eliminate this problem, and reduce costly repairs.
Recommended Action
Approve the amended SECIV to include Lightning Protection to the Fire Alarm Replacement County-Wide.
