C-41 Additive Change Order #4 for Middleburg Elementary School Building 1 Remodel
Issue/Rationale
Change Orders are initiated by the Contractor, Architect/Engineer or Owner, and may increase or decrease the scope of the project as defined by the plans and specifications. Change Orders are reviewed by the Architect/Engineer and staff prior to submission to the School Board for approval. The additive changes are for removal of existing plaster/ceramic tile in rooms 112 and 125 and installation of new drywall and tile wainscot. The original intent was to keep the existing tile and drywall in place, however, this is not feasible with the demolition of plumbing and walls in the immediate area. Installation of isolation valves to isolate break room sink and refrigerator. Replace rotten roof sheathing. Repair damaged valley at Main Entrance.
Recommended Action
Approve the Change Order.
Financial Impact
If approved, this Change Order will increase the contract amount by $14,291.00. The Substantial Completion date is October 25, 2011. Final Completion date is November 24, 2011. Architect fees will increase by $857.46 as a result of this change order.
