Minutes:

Mrs. Amy Batchelor, selected by the Florida Council for Exceptional Children to receive the Eleanor Guetzloe Oustanding Service Award, was recognized and congratulated by the Board.

Minutes:

Superintendent Davis talked about his Elevate Clay Plan that acts as a systematic blueprint to lead his primary focus during his first 100 days as Superintendent.  The plan provides the opportunity to determine the district's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and training, and engages all stakeholders.

25. D-A - Review of Board's letter to the Office of Inspector General (Mrs. Kerekes)
Minutes:

Mrs. Kerekes distributed the letter she prepared following consensus of the Board at the December 6, 2016, Special meeting pertaining to the ESE investigation.  Following discussion, Mrs. Kerekes agreed to make some revisions to the letter and deliver it to Superintendent Davis on Friday for mailing with the report to the appropriate state office for review.

Mr. Davis remarked that the first coast expressway will have impact to the Oakleaf area and that this 22 acre parcel  will be needed in the next 5-7 years. The Board would be able to utilize impact fees and Capital Outlay to purchase the property and for construction of the school.
