C7 - Ratification of the 2023-2024 through 2025-2026 Master Contract between the Clay Education Support Professional Association Local 7409 and the Clay County School Board.
Description

Florida Statute requires the School Board to bargain collectively in the determination of wages, hours, and the terms and conditions of employment for its instructional employees.  Attached is the negotiated 2023-2024 through 2025-2026 Master Contract.  This agreement must be signed and ratified by both the public employer and the public employees of the bargaining unit.

Previous Outcomes

Contract negotiatons were previously presented to the Board for approval on September 3, 2022.  The Board ratified the contract on that day.

Expected Outcomes

Approval the ratification of the 2023-2024 through 2025-2026 Master Contract between the Clay Education Support Professional Association Local 7409 and the Clay County School Board.

Strategic Plan Goal

Goal 2:   Enact a highly effective recruitment and professional development plan along with opportunities for growth and career development to ensure all students have access to a world class education to become life-long learners for success in a global and competitive workplace and in acquiring applicable life skills.

Strategy 2.1.1 Develop strategic partnerships with organizations and universities to source new talent for a diverse workforce that is effective and highly-qualified for non-instructional, instructional, and administrative positions throughout CCDS.

Strategy 2.1.2  Increase the opportunities for high school students to begin the development of careers to “grow-our-own” and strengthen the pipeline from student to employee.

 

Recommendation

Approval by the School Board of Clay County of contract language modifications and salary provisions to be incorporated into the 2023-2024 through 2025-2026  Master Contract bargaining agreement with the Clay Education Support Professional Association Local 7409 .
