Title C19 - Transportation Bus Planner GPS+ 5 year Agreement Proposal #3208 | ||
Description BusPlanner GPS is a comprehensive transportation management solution that will be implemented under a five-year contract agreement. This platform is designed to enhance school transportation services through advanced GPS tracking, routing, and communication tools.As part of this agreement, BusPlanner GPS will replace the current Synovia/CalAmp system. The new software suite will include: Improved Parent App, Driver GPS Platform, Improved Routing Platform, Tracking System. | ||
Gap Analysis BusPlanner GPS+ will power an updated online transportation portal, offering stakeholders easy access to student transportation information. Increased awareness and communication by all stakeholders (Schools, Parents, etc.) | ||
Previous Outcomes The decision to replace the existing system is driven by several persistent issues and performance limitations that have impacted the effectiveness and reliability of the district’s transportation services. These persistent issues underscored the need for a more modern, integrated, and reliable solution. | ||
Expected Outcomes The transition to BusPlanner GPS is expected to deliver several key benefits and improvements over the previous Synovia/CalAmp system. These outcomes align with the district’s goals of enhancing operational efficiency, increasing transparency, and improving safety and communication. Anticipated outcomes include: Improved Student Safety, Enhanced Parent Communication, Increased Operational Efficiency, Better Driver Support, Accurate Data and Reporting, and Streamlined Transportation Management. | ||

Financial Impact Year 1 subscription and implementation $200,200. Each subsequent year will increase by 5% as follows: year 2 $152,460, year 3 $160,083, year 4 $168,087.15, year 5 $176,491.51 | ||
