C5 - Ratify the 2019-2020 Amendment to the 2018-2020 Master Contract between the Clay County Education Association and the Clay County School Board
Florida Statute requires the School Board to bargain collectively in the determination of wages, hours, and the terms and conditions of employment for its instructional employees. Attached is the negotiated 2019-2020 Amendment to the Master Contract for 2018-2020. This agreement must be signed and ratified by both the public employer and the public employees of the bargaining unit.
Contract negotiatons were previously presented to the Board for approval on August 2, 2018. The Board ratified the contract on that day.

Approval by the School Board of Clay County of contract language modifications and salary provisions to be incorporated into the 2019-2020 Amendment of the 2018-2020 Master Contract bargaining agreement with the Clay County Education Association.

Estimated financial impact is $6.3 million. In addition, the Board contributed an additional $4.7 million towards insurance for all employees on the insurance plan.
