Minutes:

Dr. Susan Legutko, Assistant Superintendent for Business Affairs, presented the tentative budget for the 2021-2022 fiscal year and explained how the roll-back rate is calculated.  She reported the total millage rate to be levied exceeds the roll-back rate by 2.50%, so the district will be required to advertise a tax increase.  The first public hearing on the millage rates and the tentative budget will be held on July 27, 2021.  The proposed annual budget for all funds for the 2021-2022 school year is $520,446,656.  The unassigned General Fund balance on June 30, 2021, is estimated at 5.00%, with an estimated 5.01% at June 30, 2022.

Mrs. Kerekes advised funding for safety and security would be moved to an alternate source following the 2021-2022 year as the current funding (one mill) would end.  Dr. Legutko indicated there woiuld be a thorough budgeting process to cover all district needs.
