Superintendent Broskie used the attached presentation to discuss second-semester student enrollment, quarter 1 grade comparison, updated CDC and DOH quarantine guidelines, and winter break reminders including best wishes for a healthy and safe holiday season.

Motion by Mrs. Kerekes to approve, seconded by Mrs. Gilhousen.

Superintendent Broskie spoke briefly to highlight the inclusion of the traditional components of funding, assessment, and student investment incorporated in the Legislative Priorities.  Discussion ensued resulting in board consensus to add holding teachers and students harmless, in addition to schools, under the "state assessments and testing" category.  The board also discussed the possibility of including a digital presentation.  

Mrs. Kerekes withdrew the original motion and a second motion was made to postpone this item to the January 7, 2021 board meeting.

Superintendent Broskie briefly discussed the requirement resulting from the emergency order to provide the Spring 2021 Education Plan and Assurances to the Department of Education in order to obtain funding for the district's educational programs. It is expected that the Department of Education will approve this plan, which will be submitted pending board approval.
