1. Recognize Art in the Capitol Winner
Minutes:

Superintendent Davis recognized and presented a certificate to Amy Dyal, Principal, and Raeleigh Trawick, 6th Grade, Coppergate School of the Arts for being an Art in the Capitol winner of a statewide visual arts competition for students in grades 6-8; artwork displayed in the Capitol in Tallahassee.

2. Recognize Keystone Heights Elementary School for earning East Coast Technical Assistance Center designation
Minutes:

Superintendent Davis recognized Keystone Heights Elementary School for earning the East Coast Technical Assistance Center designation for being a Title 1 school that demonstrated significant progress in improving student achievement; certificate presented to Melanie Sanders, Principal, and Corinne Lavin, Assistant Principal.

Minutes:

Makayla Buchanan, Executive Director of the Clay Education Foundation, presented a check received from Zach Swarthout, Garber Automall, in the amount of $500 in support of the Grants 4 Great Ideas initiative.  To date, the Education Foundation has received $61,000 in support of this teacher initiative.

Minutes:

Board members wished a happy and safe holiday season to all.  Carol Studdard recognized Superintendent Davis for being named the Communicator of the Year at the Florida Association of District School Superintendents.  Nicole Young was the recipient of the Medallian Award at the Florida Association of District School Superintendents/Florida School Boards Association Joint Conference.
